| background & training Helen graduated from Hull University in 1987 with a degree in Drama & History of Art. She subsequently trained as a theatre designer at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, and completed an MA in Scenography at Wimbledon School of Art in 1997. From 1989 - 2000 she worked as a theatre designer, specialising in work with masks and puppets. She has designed and made masks for a number of theatre companies, and has been involved in teaching in various ways - working on community projects, and for 3 years as a design tutor at Exeter University Drama Department. She has also worked for the BBC, as assistant designer on period dramas. In 2000 she became involved in design visualisation, and has not looked back.
